Contact Lenses
We fit patients with a variety of contact lens options depending on which is the best solution for our patients needs
Types of Lenses
Soft Lenses
These lenses are comfortable to wear and are designed to either be replaced monthly, biweekly or daily. They can provide correction for most prescriptions including astigmatism. The newest technology includes newer materials which allow more oxygen to the eye allowing many patients the ability to wear contacts comfortably all day.
Multifocal Lenses
The newest contact lens designs can correct vision for both near and far simultaneously. In many cases these lenses can reduce the reliance on multifocal glasses and reading glasses that are worn over their distance vision contacts
Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses
Although gas permeable lenses have been around a long time, the evolution of its material still makes it an effective contact lens solution today. Soft contact lenses are not always the best fit for patients with higher prescriptions or patients with certain corneal conditions. The rigid material provides superior optical clarity for some patients. In addition, these lenses are gas permeable and allow for excellent oxygen transmission to the eye.
Scleral Lenses
Scleral lenses are larger in diameter than other contacts and the newest in contact lens technology. This special type of contact lens gives an effective prescription solution for patients with a variety of conditions for whom clear vision was not a likely possibility previously. Hybrid Lenses
Hybrid lenses are a great solution for patients who benefit from the optical clarity of the rigid gas permeable lenses but prefer the comfort of the soft lenses. They consist of a rigid center that is surrounded by a skirt of soft lens material.
Custom Soft Lenses
For patients who enjoy the comfort of soft lenses but have prescriptions not made in traditional soft lenses, we can make lenses that are custom made to fit your cornea precisely and offer all prescription options!
Regardless of the type of contact lenses you wear, an annual eye exam is recommended to ensure the continued good health of your eyes.
